MAN FOUND DEAD IN A TRENCH

Police in Bushenyi district are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man who has been discovered in a trench in Bugomora cell, Ward 3 Ishaka division, Bushenyi Ishaka Municipality along Ishaka Kagamba road.
The man has been identified as Siliverino Byaruhanga (31), a resident of Kanyabuhanga cell, Buharambo parish Kabira Sub county Mitooma district whose lifeless body was discovered by residents in the community around 7am lying face up in the trench.

Prior to his identity, Ishaka division chairperson Deus Mucenga, Bugomora cell local council one chairperson Ronal Baryeija and residents had related that he was not known in the area.

While no foul play is suspected, the officer in charge of criminal investigations department at Ishaka police station Joseph Babyesiza says they are awaiting an autopsy to conclusively pronounce on the cause of death but they have found a bottle of a poisonous drug.
The body has been taken to Kitagata hospital waiting for his relatives.
