MAN KILLED IN COLD BLOOD AS HE TRIED TO RESCUE GOATS FROM THIEVES IN RWAMPARA

Police in Rwampara district are investigating circumstances under which a 56 year old man met his death in the wee hours of 11thJan.2021.
The deceased Gregory Katarahwire a resident of Kiziba cell Kibaare parish Ndeija Sub County was allegedly killed after he moved out at around 2am to rescue his goats from alleged thieves.
The wife of the deceased Agnes Tindibakira told our reporter that when her husband left the house, she also followed and called neighbors who began a search only to find goats on the way.
He however added that as they were coming back with the goats, they found a lifeless body of her husband about 50 metres from their home.
Samson Kasasira the Rwizi region police mouth piece says the deceased had several times reported domestic violence cases at LC 1 and LC 111 chair persons’ office.
Kasasira adds that Katarahwire claimed that his wife had threatened to kill him because of marrying another wife and sharing property with her.
He reveals that police visited the scene, and one person whose names are withheld was arrested to help them as they investigate.
