MAN MURDERS 15 YEAR OLD BIOLOGICAL SON OVER SORGHUM

Police in Kisoro have arrested a man in connection to the murder of his 15 year old biological son.

Yohana Maniragaba 55 years a resident of Nturo village Gisorora parish Nyakabande sub county Kisoro district allegedly murdered his son identified as Rogers Ndayambajje.

ASP Elly Maate the Kigezi Regional Police Spokesperson said that on the 24/09/2022, at around 10:30hours, at the above village, the victim was assaulted by his father and others accusing him of stealing his 40Kgs of Sorghum.

Maate told our reporter that the victim later succumbed to injuries on 27/09/2022 at around 1100hrs from their home.

However, the death was not reported until the 28th/09/2022 at around 1800hours when Police learnt of the incident through a whistle blower and officers booked out on information to confirm.

Maate narrated that Scene was visited and examined, statements obtained from witnesses and the father to the deceased arrested.

The body was taken to Kisoro Hospital for post-mortem while inquiries are at hand.
