According to Kiiza Kenneth Nyendwoha the member of parliament Bujenje county told Mk News link that China railway seventh group was contracted in 2018 to construct the road it’s not being completed.
The contractor abandoned the site because of demanding government sh120b. Construction was supposed to be completed in 2022 in vain. Deadline for extension has been extended thrice, I am supposed even to present this issue to parliament,” he added.
According to Nyendwoha some spots they were working on were left deteriorated, adding that it’s now four months since the contractor abandoned the road.
“They left when the workers were also demanding three months. Over 200 trucks are now using the same road through Kabango town council in Masindi. But there are many incomplete sports and they are in bad shape.
Commenting on Masindi Biiso road, Ssempewa said that: “It’s not true that the road is abandoned . Theroad is largely motorable but it’s only a km which is bad . It’s a common problem we have on on going projects but it’s due to insufficient funding but it doesn’t mean that the road is abandoned.
