MASINDI DISTRICT LEADERS ATTEMPT TO FORCEFULLY EVICT CAO

Members of the executive in Masindi district on Tuesday attempted to forcefully evict John Nyakahuma the Chief Administrative Officer from his office.
The members that included Afisa karungi the secretary for community services, Salaama Kugonza the secretary for finance and Education and the district council speaker Moses Kirya attacked the CAO in his office but this didn’t go well since he had deployed his bouncer.
According to sources the CAO was rescued by police who were called to calm the situation at the district.
The act caused the sitting of the extraordinary security meeting in the RDC’s office with the aim of bringing harmony between the three parties.
According to the RDC Masindi, Godfrey Nyakahuma, the closed door meeting lasted for three hrs and it resolved that the three parties solve their impasse and continue working together.
Byaruhanga Cosmas, notes that they were irked by the RDC coming to the district headquarters premises with a bouncer something he says this was an insecurity to them since the bouncer was not allowing any one to access the CAO’s office.
Since Cosmas Byaruhangs was elected as the district chairperson, chief administrative officers have been changed three times.
Meanwhile Masindi district leadership is demanding for investigations against the chief administrative officer Masindi, John Nyakahuma.
Currently there is a big disagreement between the district chairperson Masindi Cosmas Byaruhanga, the district council and the chief administrative officer, John Nyakahuma.
Cosmas Byaruhaga, the Masindi district LCVchair person blames Nyakahuma for crippling service delivery in the entire district arguing that since this financial year began, they have been having many challenges with the current chief administrative officer.
He adds that CAO has failed to pay the road gangs, utilize the money meant for the construction of roads, and also look after the sugar cane project which is at Kihonda demonstration farm.
