MASINDI LCI CHAIRPERSON FAINTS, DIES ON SPOT

Residents of Southern cell II in Masindi central division, Masindi district are still in shock following the mysterious death of their chairperson LCI Yusuf Waswa.
It is reported that the deceased died while inspecting his brick making business in Miirya cell, Kigulya division, Masindi district last evening.
Family sources told this website that Waswa, a former sports presenter with the Masindi based Bunyoro Broadcasting Services radio Station suddenly developed stomach pains which forced him to lean against a nearby tree as he continued chatting with his workers.
The sources added that later he went silent prompting his workers to check on him only to find him already dead.
The deceased is a born of Masuliita in Luwero district but came to Masindi while still a young man where he has lived until his death.
He has been a sportsman and played for a number of football clubs in Masindi including Motors, Nyangahya, Masindi town council among others.
Currently, the body is still lying at his home as arrangements to transfer it to Masuliita where it will be buried on Friday go on.
He is survived by a widow and children.
