MASINDI MAN ARRESTED FOR RAPING DISABLED WOMAN

Police in Masindi have arrested a 30 year old man for allegedly raping
a disabled woman in Katagurukwa village Miirya Sub County in Masindi
district.
Peter Mukasa, the Community Liaisons Officer Masindi district,
identified the suspect as Mungu Hussein a resident of Kataugurukwa
village Miirya Sub County. Mungu Hussein was handed over to police by
the residents today morning.
Mukasa declined to disclose the names of the woman but explained that
she is 26 years old and she was raped yesterday during day time.
He added that Mungu raped the lady while she had been left alone
adding that the relatives had gone to the garden.
Mukasa noted that the relatives were alerted by the neighbours about
the incident that had happened. He also said that the culprit was
arrested by the locals in the area who handed him to police.
He confirmed that the culprit is in police custody and he will be
produced in court to answer rape charges.
Last year in November, a woman was gang raped catching grass hoppers
in Bulima village catching grass hoppers.
