Speaking to our reporter at the scene, the landlady who preferred anonymity explained that she didn’t know the deceased since his wife was the one renting.
”I didn’t know him because the wife identified as Kusiima Hadijja came looking for a room to rent, then they later started staying together,” she said.
Similarly to the landlady, the area chairperson, Kakoko Elizabeth, said she didn’t know the deceased who was staying in her village adding he didn’t report to her office.
She however asked the landlords and landladies to always register their tenants to her office.
