MASINDI MP KASUMBA BOOED BY RESIDENTS OVER AGE LIMIT

The Member of Parliament for Bujenje county; Rtd.Lt. Paddy Kasumba has been booed during an interface between the MPs for Masindi district and the residents.
The interface was yesterday organized by a local Radio station Known as Radio Kitara in Masindi town at its premises in Masindi town with the aim of bringing MPs nearer to the electorates such that they could give accountability what they have done for the one and a half years.
Among the four MPs for Masindi district, only Kasumba Patrick the MP for Bujenje County showed up.
Other MPs including Bintu Jali Lukum, the woman MP for Masindidistrict, Ernest Kiiza, The MP for Masindi municipality also state minister for Bunyoro affairs and Professor Mijumbi Nyira the Member of Parliament for Buruli County never turned up.
During the interface, Residents tasked the MP for Bujenje county
Kasumba Patrick to give his position on the ongoing presidential age limit amendment bill the question he ignored thus prompting the residents to boo him.
They also tasked him to explain why they need to change the constitution now something he also failed to answer.
When Kasumba failed to give his position, residents started singing and heckling him hence blocking him from delivering his message.
Residents also turned rowdy when Kasumba said that while making consultations they will not make rallies because the rallies are attended by drunkards and people who use cocaine adding that they are going to only meet a cross section of people like the elders, religious leaders among others.
During the same meeting, the Mayor Masindi municipality, Joab Businge used the same platform and attacked the Mps for sidelining Ugandans while doing their consultations, noting that MPs are doing
consultations among NRM members only something which is not right.
Amidst cheers Businge criticized NRM MPs for failing to do what took
them to parliament.
