MASINDI RESIDENT JUDGE AIRLIFTED TO KAMPALA AFTER NASTY ACCIDENT

Masindi high court resident judge Paul Wolimbwa Gadenya has been seriously injured and airlifted to Kampala for further treatment after being involved in a road accident yesterday morning.
The accident occurred when his vehicle Pajero registration UG 0781J collided with a Fuso lorry UBH 831A at Bigando cell, Kigulya division, Masindi district along Masindi-Kafo road.
Joel Tinkasimire an eye witness said that the accident occurred at 9: 30am when the driver of the Fuso abruptly branched off the road and the judge’s vehicle that was heading to Masindi from Kampala knocked the Fuso on the passenger’s side injuring the Judge, his driver and bodyguard
He said the judge who was in the behind seat in the process fell on the dashboard of the vehicle and sustained injuries on the legs and head.
The judge and the staff were rushed to Masindi Kitara Hospital for treatment and later airlifted to Kampala for further management.
ASP Julius Hakiza Allan, the police spokesperson Albertine region said that they have started investigations into the cause of the accident.
He added that both vehicles have been towed to Masindi central police station.
