MASINDI SENIOR OFFICER DIES AFTER COLLAPSING DURING TPC MEETING

Locals in Masindi district are still in a shock after the district senior lands management officer Mr. James Mugoya dies after collapsing during the district Technical Planning Committee –TPC meeting.

According to sources at the district headquarters, Mugoya, 51, and who had been battling high blood pressure collapsed while being roasted over a yet to be known issue during the meeting held at the district council chambers on Wednesday.

The district communications officer Brian Atuhura told www.mknewslink reporter that Mugoya was later rushed to Supreme Medical Centre in Masindi town for treatment from where he was referred to Mulago national referral hospital where he died Thursday night.

Mknewslink.com has learnt that Mugoya was diagnosed with blood clots in the brain and the doctors were still trying to stabilize him so that they could carry out operate on him.

The body is still lying at Mulago hospital mortuary at the moment, and arrangements to transport the body to Sironko district for burial are on.

The late had served Masindi district for more than 20 years at the time of his death.
