The former Member of Parliament for Igara East constituency in Bushenyi district, Mr. Micheal Mawanda Maranga was nominated today morning to re-contest the seat.
During a press briefing after his nomination at Bushenyi district council hall, Mawanda vowed to crack down on vote thieves because they were a result of his loss in 2016.
He noted that he can’t reveal his set trick to catch them but the strategy is well set and those intending to steal his votes will be caught.
Mawanda lost to Andrew Martial in 2016 parliamentary elections which court of appeal on Oct 03, 2017 cancelled on grounds of bribery and vote rigging.
