MBARARA FAMILY SHOWERED WITH ACID; WIFE, CHILDREN IN CRITICAL CONDITIONS

Police in Mbarara are hunting for unknown assailants who poured acid on family leaving the mother and two children in critical conditions.
On Tuesday evening, the family of one Aaron Amuri in Nyakaguruka village, Kitunguru parish in Rugando Sub County Mbarara district was showered with acid by unknown people.
Amuri narrates that it was around 7pm when he had just left home to go and buy medicine from a nearby shop when he received a call from the neighbors that his wife and children have been attacked with acid.
I was shocked when I found my people at home in a very critical situation I had to look for means and rush them to Mbarara regional hospital, I have not known the motives of these attackers who wanted to finish off my family, said Amuri.
John Bosco Mutabazi the Officer in charge of Criminal Investigation Directorate (CID) at Mbarara police station confirmed the incident and identified the victim as Constance Kyompaire aged 30 and her two children who are currently being admitted in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Mbarara regional referral hospital.
Mutabazi confirmed that they have already taken up the matter for investigations and called upon the public to take the security of their homes as a priority.
