MBARARA FDC BOSS, 14 OPPOSITION SUPPORTERS ARRESTED OVER ILLEGAL DEMONSTRATION

14 opposition supporters including the FDC chairperson mbarara district Stanley Katembeya were this morning arrested by the security operatives over staging illegal demonstration challenging the today’s walk of the president against corruption.
This morning President Museveni led Ugandans including Ministers, religious, traditional and civil society leaders among others to Kololo airstrip grounds aiming at creating awareness over corruption.
According the Deputy Resident District Commissioner Mbarara Emmy Katera Turyabagyenyi these were arrested in Kijungu where they had started their demonstration with the intention of paralyzing town.
Katera said that as security they were not informed about the demonstration.
He noted that they are now detained at Mbarara police station and they will be taken to courts of law and be charged of staging illegal demonstration and other charges that may be put on them.
