MBARARA MALE YOUTH CANDIDATE DISQUALIFIED ON VOTING DAY OVER AGE

In Mbarara—

Mbarara male youth NRM flag bearer Ashraf Ssekajja was yesterday blocked from participating in the youths elections over age.

Sekajja Ashraf’s votes were declared invalid by electoral commission officials after realizing that his date of birth data was controversial.

From data obtained by www.mknewslink.com  ,Sekajja was born on 14^th.09.1987 in Nsikye , Nyamitanga, Mbarara city south, Mbarara city though other data bases show that  he was born on 14th.08.1992.

Meanwhile, John Kivigi an independent candidate was declared winner for male youth councilor seat with 75 votes, followed by Kazoora Francis with 03 votes.

Jeninah Kyomuhendo of NRM won the female youth councillor seat in Mbarara city council after getting 106 votes, then Ninsima Pinkreal 56 votes, Akampurira Venture 20 votes and Namatovu Rahma 03 votes.

However, Sekajja Ashraf has threatened to challenge the Electoral commission decision in the courts of law.
