MBARARA MATOOKE VENDOR DROWNS IN A WELL

Police in Mbarara district are investigating circumstances under which a 45-year-old-man drowned in a well.
Edson Tiberindwa, a resident of Rwebishekye 2, Rwebishekye ward, Bwizibwera-Rutooma Town council is said to have drowned in the well located about 600 metres away from his home.
According to Peterson Kakuru the mayor Rwanyamahembe Town and a friend to the deceased said that on Sunday morning the deceased returned home from Bwizibwera matooke market where he operates matooke business and on reaching home, it’s alleged that he handed over his mobile phones and some amount of money to his children before he bid farewell to them.
Kakuru adds that in suspicion, the deceased children together with locals later followed their father only to find his lifeless body floating on top of a well a few meters from their home.
He says that, the deceased might have committed suicide due to depression as a result of divorce.
Police from Bwizibwera police station swung into action and took the deceased’s body to Mbarara regional referral hospital for a postmortem report.
