MBARARA POLICE OC’S SUSPECTED MURDERER ARRESTED IN RUKUNGIRI ROBBERY

Police in Mbarara are holding a 19 year old man in connection to the death of OC station Ruharo NO.44109 CPL Agaba Richard.
CPL Agaba was murdered on 10th Sept. 2021 by armed assailants as he mounted patrols in Ruharo and his gun taken away.
The suspect’s arrest was disclosed by the Resident City Commissioner Mbarara city, Lt. Col. James Mwesigye in a press briefing today at his office in Booma, Mbarara city.
The RDC identified the suspect as Dominic Twinomugisha 19 years a resident of Katete cell in Mbarara city who was in company of two others who are still on the run.
According to the RCC the suspect was arrested yesterday night in Rukungiri municipality during a robbery foil that saw one person shot dead and a security guard attached to Saracen Security Company limited seriously injured.
Mwesigye said that police managed to recover a riffle SMG NO UGPOL56582399632575 that was used to rob 50million shs. from For God Electronics shop in Rukungiri municipality and it belongs to OC station Ruharo Police station CPL Agaba Richard.
Mwesigye further noted that police in Kigezi and Rwizi have already mounted a pursuit for other suspects.
Twinomujuni is a second suspect arrested in connection to the murder of Ruharo OC station; Mbarara police had earlier arrested a one James Tumusiime a Boda Boda Cyclist in Kiyanja cell, Mbarara city.
