MBARARA REFERRAL HOSPITAL EXTENDS COVID 19 VACCINATION TO SCHOOLS, PLACES OF WORSHIP

Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital has moved to extend COVID 19 Vaccination to places of worship and Schools.
According to Dr. Celestine Barigye the hospital director, Vaccination program has slowed down at the hospital with few people coming for Vaccination.
As a way of getting nearer to people, Dr. Barigye said they are extending vaccination program to schools and worship houses in order to tap a good number of people who intend to vaccinate.
He says that so far the hospital has vaccinated over 90.000 people in Mbarara city which is almost the whole population in the city.
Meanwhile, Dr. Barigye noted that the hospital currently has 11 COVID patients on admission; 7 males, three females and one Child.
