MBARARA REFERRAL HOSPITAL RUNS OUT OF COVID 19 VACCINE WITHIN TWO MONTHS

Mbarara regional referral hospital has run out of COVID 19 vaccine jab two months after the launch of vaccination exercise.
The hospital is one of the 5 vaccination Centres gazetted by the district authorities at the beginning of the exercise in March.
Dr. Celestine Barigye the hospital director told www.mknewslink.com reporter that the hospital has so far vaccinated 2700 people since 12th March, 2021.
He further noted that the exercise has been conducted smoothly but called upon the public to be vigilant of the new COVID 19 variant that has ravaged India.
Mbarara district and city had received 5,450 doses of Astrazeneca COVID 19 jab which were later distributed to 5 vaccination Centres in both Mbarara city and the district.
