MBARARA SPEAKER, FOUR OTHERS TO ANSWER CASES OF ACID ATTACK; AIRTEL PROVIDES EVIDENCE

Court in Mbarara presided over by chief magistrate Samuel Twakiire heard that the five suspects including Mbarara municipal speaker Mr Bonny Tashobya allegedly poured acid to a local council.
Tashobya and other suspects including a military officer, Don Kizito, Mbiine Emmanuel on 8th Nov 2017 night allegedly poured acid to their fellow politician and LC v councilor Nyamityobora division Mr Amos katureebe as the latter was going back to his home.
Mr katureebe was poured acid few days before he was going to give evidence in land’s commission inquiry committee of justice Catherine Bamugemereire accusing some municipal officers of a certain land grabbing.
Mr Francis Kabera who worked in police for six years before becoming an officer in airtel call data entry marked the last prosecution which made the magistrate to decide that all suspects have cases to answer basing on the recorded voices before and after the pouring acid incident.
Court was adjourned immediately up to 13th September 2018.
