MBARARA VENDORS ABANDON TEMPORARY MARKET AT INDEPENDENCE PARK OVER POOR CONDITIONS

Mbarara central market vendors have abandoned the Mbarara independence park due to the appealing state.
The vendors were temporarily reallocated the park area until the construction of the central market is complete.
However, Phionah Kyomugisha a vendor dealing in grocery told www.mknewslink.com reporter that some of their colleagues have decided to leave the market because the conditions at the market have worsened.
Kyomugisha noted that rains have been spoiling their stalls in addition to too much dust adding that these scare away their customers.
Kibanda Donozio the publicity secretary Mbarara central market vendors appealed to the government to come to their rescue before all the vendors run away from the market.
Donozio further noted that their leaders should explain to the vendors why the two year project of Mbarara central market that started in 2018 is yet to be delivered.
Robert Kakyebezi the city mayor Mbarara city also laments that Mbarara city council is losing a lot of revenue in form of taxes due to the continued delay of Mbarara central.
