MD DR ENG SLIVER MUGISHA LISTENS CAREFULLY TO PRIVATE SCHOOL DIRECTORS PLEAS TO GOV’T

The managing director NWSC DR. ENG. Sliver Mugisha has assured private school owners that they have to work hard to grow their schools, improve academic performance and in turn develop the nation.

2024. Sliver Mugisha said this today 5^th October 2024 at Bushenyi play ground during the function of Directors of private schools in national function, dedication service of candidates for 2024.

The directors of private schools converged in their own association of National Teacher’s Educational Institution Association of Uganda.

Dr. Sliver Mugisha advised them to be stronger and stop negotiating for water from 100/= ajerrycan and below because its already lower enough therefore, they should accept and pay for as low as it is because they should not look for profits alone but also look at NWSC as the government entity that generates money for survival.

Edgar Amanyire the association chairman for greater Bushenyi who also owns a strong school well known as ST AGNESS GIRLS SECONDARY SCHOOL told journalists that the government should reduce on the taxes they charge from private schools because they conver a total of 70% of the total schools in Uganda therefore they should tax them as partners but not enemies.

He also requested government to provide test books to these private schools in order for them to compete favorably government schools as well as to make savings to run their schools smoothly.

The association awarded different people with different awards and among them is notably is Director General of PIBID Rev.Prof. Florence Muranga Isabirye.
