Police in Kampala is investigating a case in which a UK based consultancy firm defrauded Meera Investments a huge sum of money amounting to 2.5 billion Uganda shillings.
www.mknewslink.com got news that FBW was contracted by Meera Investments to give consultancy in the construction of Speke Apartments Wampeewo and the extension of Kabira Country Club.
According to the reliable sources, Meera Investments approached FBW in 2012 and the two signed a contract to the construction of Speke Apartments Wampeewo and the extension of Kabira Country Club.
The details further reveal that Meera gave FBW an upfront payment of 1 Billion Uganda Shillings for the construction of Speke Apartments and 1.4 Billion Uganda Shillings for the construction that was aimed at extending Kabira Country Club.
www.mknewslink.com is reliably informed that the Kabira Country Club extension has not been kicking off simply because of FBWs fraud.
Meera investments has for long asked for architectural work from FBW so that work could kick off but they have always turned a deaf ear.
We are told that the case was filed at Katwe police station under reference number GEF:131/2019
