MILLIONS LOST AS FUEL TRUCK IS ENGULFED BY FLAMES IN KABALE

According to Elly Maate the Kigezi Regional Police Spokesperson, the incident occurred today   at around 11:00am at the steep Kabaraga incline

Maate says  motor vehicle registration number SSD 775Q loaded with  fuel  from Kampala to Kabale BAJ fuel station Rwakaraba driven by only known as Bruhan, , failed to negotiate a sharp corner, hit a an electric pole on the roadside which sparked fire, that caught the truck and it overturned,and exploded.

Police was notified, fire brigade, traffic and team rushed to the scene and fire was extinguished.

Maate says the fuel tank had about 300,000 litres of fuel worth millions of shillings and both the driver and turn man survived with injuries and admitted at Kabale referral hospital.

The case of accident was registered at Kabale Central Police station
