MINISTER BAHATI ADVISES LOCALS IN KABALE TO ENGAGE IN COMMERCIAL FARMING

The Minister of state for trade, industry and cooperatives (industry) Hon David Bahati appealed to the public to engage themselves in Commercial agriculture enterprises as the only way that shall uplift household income.
He vowed this yesterday afternoon while delivering his speech at the thanksgiving of the former St. Mary’s College Rushorooza headteacher Byamukama Remegio which was held at Our Lady of Lord Shepherded Rushoroza Cathedral gardens.
Minister Bahati who doubles as the Ndorwa West legislator explained that People should use the skill and strength that God has given to us as a community to plant Irish potatoes, Hass Avocado, Vegetables and other commercial agriculture enterprises.
The minister advised people to consider plants that may not take so long to harvest through planting them in a modern way, and asked the public to always participate in government programs.
David Bahati contributed 5 million Cash, and pledged 60 bags of cement and 110 iron sheets towards the construction of Katooma Catholic Church.
The vicar Kabale diocese Fr. Msgr Dr John Vianney Sunday has emphasized thanked the government for both internal and external security that they have provided.
At the thanksgiving they collected a total of 61,700,000 Uganda shillings and this money was purposely collected for building katooma Catholic Church that is under Rushorooza Parish.
