MINISTER BAHATI CONCERNED OVER CONTINOUS ARRESTS ON UGANDANS BY RWANDAN SECURITY

The state Minister of Finance for Planning David Bahati is concerned over the arrest of Ugandan Businessmen by Rwandan security that normally happens at Katuna Boarder in Kabale District.
Bahati who is also the legislator for Ndorwa West Constituency was on Sunday speaking as the chief guest at the thanksgiving of Bernard Nzeirwe, a father to the Kyankwanzi Deputy Resident District Commissioner, Denis Nzeirwe that was held at All saints Church-Katuna grounds.
His concern follows the arrest of Denis Karyamagwaki, a money changer at Katuna border who was arrested at the Rwandan border side of Gatuna on 22nd of December last year, but was later released the following days, Justus Tweyogyere alias Mwana Muto, a money changer was also arrested some time back by Rwandan Security.
He said that government is in preparation to meet the Rwandan government through the Ministry of foreign affairs and Ministry of Trade to harmonize the security of Ugandans at the border.
He contributed 400 bags of cement and bought a heifer at 3.5 million shillings to help in the construction of the new All saints church-Katuna and a total of 34 million shillings in cash, pledges and materials was collected during the thanksgiving of Nzeirwe.
The Rubanda District Woman Member of Parliament Hon Prosy Akampurira Begumisa asked Christians to always hold thanksgiving as a way of appreciating God and always contribute towards the development of the Church.
