The Minister of science, technology and innovations Dr. Elioda Tumwesigye has told graduands of Valley University to shun sexuality, alcoholism and drug abuse if they are to live longer.
While representing the chief guest Minister Janet Kataha Museveni at the first ever graduation ceremony of 79 graduands at Valley university grounds today 18thÂ Jan 2020, Elioda Tumwesigye said sexuality, alcoholism and drug abuse are the most threats of life so if someone gets rid of them, he or she can stay long.
He added that as the ministry of science and technology, they aim at promoting science and technology because where there is no technology there is no development.
Tumwesigye also urged graduates to be competitive in order to win their races in job market.
The Minister of general duties in prime ministerâ€™s office Mary Karooro Okurut urged graduates to carry the badge of Valley University with pride because they have acquired education and got knowledge from there.
Valley university chancellor James Musinguzi Garuga urged graduates to stay focused since they have started life of professionalism and work with humanity.
79 students have graduated with Certificates, Diplomas and Bachelors degrees and among those 6 had first class degrees.
