MINISTER KAROORO WARNS UGANDANS ON MYTH THAT CORONA VIRUS DOES NOT AFFECT AFRICANS

Minister for general duties Mary Karooro Okurut has warned people on the false information about Corona Virus that is circulating.
Karooro revealed that people move round circulating false information that Corona virus cannot affect Africans urging people to pay attention to the messages from ministry of health about the pandemic .
She made these remarks on Sunday 15th March 2020 during the thanksgiving of Buramba primary school upon the good performance in last year’s Primary Leaving Examination held at Buramba church of Uganda.
Karooro however appealed to people to seriously observe messages from qualified personnel and intensify personal hygiene like washing hands , avoid hand shaking and hugging among others.
She urged people to shun false messages saying Corona Virus has now affected all East African countries except Uganda.
Coronavirus broke out in China in December 2019 and has currently spread to more than 115 countries world wide.
Three Uganda’s neighbouring countries have already reported positive cases including DRC, Kenya and Rwanda with latest being Rwanda reporting a Ugandan patient.
