MINISTER NABAKOOBA TO HANDOVER ABOUT 1,600 LAND TITLES TO KAGADI RESIDENTS

The minister of lands, housing and urban development Judith Nabakooba will on 19th May 2023 handover free hold land titles to the residents in Kagadi district.
Kagadi is set to receive about 1,600 land titles
According to the minister, there are rampant cases of land grabbing in the district which have necessitated the need for issuance of land titles for the residents to protect them from evictions.
According to the letter dated 28th April 2023 addressed to the chairperson Uganda Land Commission, after the handover of the land titles to the beneficiaries on May 19th, Minister Nabakooba will on 20th May, travel to Ndaiga, Kyaterekera and Mpeefu for boundary opening and compassionate valuation of the disputed area.
She will be accompanied by a team of surveyors and valuer’s from the ministry who will lead in surveying the disputed land.
Minister Nabakooba says the exercise intends to conclude the long outstanding land disputes in Kagadi district.
Meanwhile minister Nabakooba has rallied local leaders and area members of parliament to inform and organize the beneficiaries for the event.
