MINISTRY OF HEALTH DEPLOYS TEAM AT KATUNA TO SCREEN FOR CORONA VIRUS

The ministry of health has deployed Heath and security Team at Katuna boarder that will aid in screening corona virus among the people entering Uganda From different countries after Rwanda confirmed the disease out break on Saturday last week.
Rwanda tested positive to corono virus on a tourist from India and by yesterday it had confirmed Four cases of the disease.
According to the Kabale District Health Officer Alfred Besigensi as Uganda shares it’s borders with Rwanda , Ugandans are living in fear of the disease that may breakout in the country through Katuna border.
He added that the ministry of health has trained some security team to screen people to ensure that no one enters the country without being tested Corona virus.
Besigensi also noted that the ministry of health has got emergency ambulance to transport any suspected victim to the isolated place that has been set at Kabale referral hospital.
He further cautioned the public to put in action the measures that are put to prevent the disease especially in bars, super market,play grounds and public gatherings.
