MITOOMA 20-MONTH-OLD BABY MURDERED PRIVATE PARTS CUT OFF

Police in Mitooma district are investigating circumstances under which a 20 months old missing child was murdered and his private parts removed.

The deceased is Identified as Iden Owamani from Kigyende 1B village, Kanyabwanga Parish, Kigyende Sub County Mitooma district.

The father of the deceased says he left his son in care of his(deceased’s)elder sister on the 26th April 2023 at around 6:30 pm and went to the garden but could not find him on returning after about 20 minutes.

According to Martial Tumusiime the greater Bushenyi police spokesperson, a case of a missing child has been under investigation at Mitooma CPS till today when they received information that his body was seen.

Tumusiime says postmortem was done on the body at the scene and private parts plus limbs were found missing.

The police PRO attributes the gruesome incident to suspected ritual activities adding that they are on ground to gather all information that can lead them to the murderer.
