MITOOMA COVID 19 TASK FORCE STRANDED OVER LACK OF FUNDS

The Mitooma District COVID-19 task force chairperson Ada Nasiima has revealed that they have worked tirelessly but with no funding from the government.
Ada Nasiima, who is also the Mitooma Resident District Commissioner was talking to www.mknewslink.com reporter yesterday.
She said that they they are doing everything possible to curb the spread of Coronavirus but as Security team, they have not received any money from their government thus they are passing through difficulties while implementing the directives as set by the president and ministry of Health.
Nasiima thanked the efforts applied by all the task force members towards working tirelessly to achieve success towards fighting Coronavirus though they have not been paid.
She said they have received some funding from the area Members of Parliament including Hon Tom Tayeebwa, Hon Jovah Kamateeka and Hon Captain Dononzio Kahonda, Bishop Emeritus Magambo and other individuals though it’s still not enough to gear all the task force activities.
She now appeals to all the well-wishers to come up with their support to the team if they want the fight against COVID19 run smoothly.
She however warned the bar owners and alcohol consumers to stop being stubborn warning that the task force has already got the names of all defiants and will soon be arrested and charged with attempted murder.
Currently, there is no any reported Coronavirus case in Mitooma district out of 55 reported in Uganda.
