MITOOMA TEACHER IN TROUBLE AFTER MAN HIRED TO KILL CO-WIFE SPILLS SECRET

Magistrate’s Court in Bushenyi is prosecuting a primary teacher for allegedly attempting to kill her co- wife.
Marion Tukamuhebwa 35 a teacher at Kitaka primary school, Kanyabwanga sub-county, Mitooma district appeared before court yesterday on charges of trying to murder her co-wife Asumpta Nimureeba a resident of St. Kagwa parish, Bushenyi-Ishaka Municipality.
It is alleged that Marion Tukamuhebwa a resident of Kako Village, Ijumo parish, Mitooma district and Olivia Nanyonga 45 a resident of Kyenzaza Village, Kirungu Parish, Kirungu Sub County, Rubirizi district hired a man whose names have been withheld because he is still at large so that he could finish Asumpta’s life on her way to pick her children at Pearl Junior.
Prosecution presented that the man was promised 4 million shillings for the deal and paid down payment of 2 million to first finish job then get his balance
However, according to Asumpta the man called him and told him everything before she rushed to immediately report the case to Bushenyi Police station.
Court has charged the two with cases of; threatening violence and conspiracy to commit a felony under secrecy section 1(a) of the penal code act 390.
While appearing before court yesterday at 4:00pm, Tukamuhebwa and Nanyonga pleaded not guilty to the charges and asked for a bail on ground that they have children aged below 5 who still need parental care.
The court granted them a 5 million non-cash bail and they are to report back to court on 13th, April, 2022 for further hearing of their case.
