MOB LYNCHES SUSPECTED THIEF IN KIRYANDONGO

Police in Kiryandongo district is investigating circumstances under which one David Azia, aged 26 years and resident of Kabuchu village in Kigumba was killed by a mob.
Julius Allan Hakiza, the Albertine region police spokesperson, says on Saturday night, officers at Kigumba police station received information that two men suspected to be thieves were being Lynched by a mob.
The suspected thieves identified as David Azia, a resident of Kabucha and Isaac Opio, a resident of Titi village in Kigumba Sub County were allegedly riding a motorcycle registration number UEY 518B bajaj red in color carrying suspected stolen goats.
Hakiza says the suspected thieves were rushed to Kiryadongo hospital but one victim identified as Azia died on the way to the hospital while Opio is nursing wounds at the same hospital.
Hakiza warns the general public against mob justice because by doing that they kill evidence that police would have used.
