MOSES KAHIMA IS NRM FLAG BEARER FOR RUHAMA COUNTY

Kahima Moses Mugabe has swept the polls and declared as National Resistance Movement flag bearer after winning the NRM Ruhaama County by election yesterday.
Kahima Moses was declared as Ruhaama County NRM flag bearer at 4am today morning by the chairman Electoral commission NRM Dr. Tanga Odoi, elect with 20,463 votes representing 31.2%.
His closest rival, Eng Jackson Kabikire Mubangizi polled 14,431 votes representing 22%.
Kahima was born 39 years ago in Kitojo cell Rwoho Town council formerly Rukoni East Ruhaama county and married with 4 children.
He is former Sheema District Commercial officer and the proprietor of Mandela Sweet bakery in Nyakyera Sub County.
In 2016 he contested but lost to Late Beijukye William Zinkuratiire after came in 2rd position and later conceded defeat.
According to the program released by Electoral commission chairman Justice Simon Byabakama yesterday, the electoral process will start on Monday 11th to 20th Dec with updating of registers at parish level.
The roadmap
December 11th-20th: There will be display of the register in Ruhaama county
December 11th-13th: Interested people will be nominated at Ntungamo district Electoral Commission headquarters
December 1st: There will be joint meeting for all contestants at the NRM headquarters Ntungamo
There will be campaigns for special interest groups from Dec 15th -5th January 2018 and for MP seat will start 15th to 09th Jan 2018.
Polling day for;
1. special interest group will be on 9th January 2018
2. Direct elected MP and councilors will be on 11th January 2018
