MOSLEM CLERIC PREACHES PEACE, RECONCILIATION IN KABAROLE

The acting Kabarole district Kadhi, Sheikh Talib Hussein Ghalib has asked Muslims to always preach the message of peace and reconciliation.
Speaking on Monday during Eid Mubarak prayers at Fort Portal main mosque, Talib asked Muslims to live together in unity for the development of their religion.
“We need to learn to live together in peace and harmony in order to develop our religion, region and our nation at large”Talib said.
He urged Muslims to always forgive as it is stated in Quran. “I urge you to worship God, love one another as the religion requires us.
We need to live together in peace regardless of religion, tribe and political affiliation” he said.
Talib promised to work together with all religious leaders to ensure that there is peace in the region and the country at large.
The Fort Portal mayor Rev.Willy Muhanga Ateenyi who also attended prayers at the main mosque asked Muslims to forget the past and work together for development. “I condemn the acts of killings, divisionism among people and I warn whoever has been taking part to stop and think of developmental issues”Muhanga said. He asked Muslims to work with local leaders for the development of the region.
