In Kanungu—
The Member of Parliament elect for Kinkizi West James Ruugi Kaberuka has attributed NRM’s victory in Kanungu to Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Alhaj Shaffiq Ssekandi Sengoba and his team.
He noted that NRM’s support in Kanungu was at 58% during 2016 elections adding that it has now increased drastically to 80%.
Kaberuka was speaking to www.mknewslink.com while analyzing the recently concluded general elections.
He attributed the NRM’s victory to good leaders like Kanungu RDC and his team who put in much effort to campaign in respect to the principles of the party.
He explained that they have always had low percentage because of individuals he described as self-seekers who mobilized for their own good instead of a party.
Kaberuka also hailed Amaama Mbabazi for helping them to bridge the gap between Kanungu Tea Nursery Bed operators and the government over issues that have been pending for a long time adding that it has pushed people of Kanungu district to have hopes in NRM party.
He however urged people of Kinkizi West constituency and all his competitors to work hand in hand with him for the development of their area.
