In Bushenyi—
Hon Rapheal Magezi the Member of Parliament for Igara west constituency in Busheniyi district has revealed that the age limit bill has continued to impact on him negatively in his constituency.
He said that he is being accused of not having consulted the electorates over the bill that was signed into law hence removing presidential lower and upper age limit cap
He said that his action forced a cross section of people in Igara west constituency to become suspicious over any development issue he proposes for the constituency
Addressing Journalists at his up country home in Kyamuhunga Bushenyi district, Magezi said that this is the reason why a few people in the area have rejected the creation of Kyamuhunga Bitoma Municipality because they think he is trying to create another constituency for himself to easily go back to parliament in 2021.
Recently the Bushenyi district council passed resolution to upgrade Kyamuhunga Bitooma town councils into a municipality with an aim of proper planning for the area but a few residents have rejected the proposal saying that they were not consulted.
The proposed municipality of 350 square kilometers is comprised of one health center four, six trading centers and 250 square kilometers of roads. It has also got five tea processing factories, thirty primary schools and although the area has two gravity water flow schemes most parts remain severely waters stressed.
