MP MBWATEKAMWA ABANDONS IGARA WEST CONSTITUENCY FOR 4 YEARS, RUNS TO MBARARA CITY FOR MAYORSHIP

The Igara west MP in Bushenyi district Mbwatekamwa Gafa has been accused by his constituents of abandoning them for 4 years and fleeing to Mbarara city to become the mayor.
Our credible source added that in 2020, Mbwatekamwa ran away from Kasambya constituency in Mubende to Igara west after also abandoning them too.
He added that the very old ambulances he supplied to health centers are grounded at those facilities allover Igara West constituency.
The source noted that Mbwatekamwa for the last four years has not been attending burials, fundraisings and all the functions generally in the constituency.
Since he declared to contest for Mbarara city mayorship, he received resistance from local leaders who look at him as a joker.
The sitting mayor Mr. Robert Mugabe ‘Kacebezi’ has vowed to defeat Mbwatekamwa claiming that he is a political prostitute who can not be trusted by city voters.
Other Mbarara city voters accuse him for abandoning a bigger position of member of parliament and demoting himself to a mayor. They say that this implies that he has a hidden agenda of declining the city which is growing at the fastest speed.
Effort to talk to Hon Mbwatekamwa were futile as he could not answer our call.
