In Bushenyi—
Bushenyi Police has today evening released Mbwatekamwa the MP for Kasambya county without any charges.
Mbwatekamwa was today 28th June 2020 afternoon arrested in Kakanju subcounty as he delivered his second ambulance to Kakanju health Centre III in Bushenyi district.
He was later taken into custody at Bushenyi central police station before he was released without being charged.
Talking to www.mknewslink.com after his release, Mbwatekamwa attacked Bushenyi Police for being ruthless and interfering with media work adding that he had allowed journalists to take his pictures but the police chased them away.
He noted that he will deliver his third ambulance to Nyabubare during the next weekend.
MP Mbwatekamwa has switched from Kasambya county to Igara West constituency to contest again the age limit king Minister Raphael Magyezi.
Others in the race for the hot seat include; Prof. Tarsis Kabwegyere, Ms Domaro Adrine, Dr. Karuhanga, Horace Muhabuzi, Adam Kyakuwa among others.
The arrest of MP Mbwatekamwa is suspected to have been influenced by minister Raphael Magyezi since he has out shone him by bringing more services to the constituencies which Magyezi has failed to deliver
