MP NDAMIRA DONATES PIGLETS TO ELECTORATES TO BOOST HOUSEHOLD INCOME

The Kabale District woman MP Hon Atwakiire Catherine Ndamira has donated piglets to three villages in Kabale Municipality to boost their household income.
The beneficiaries were chosen from the villages of Kigongi A, B and Nyakahita cell in Kigongi Ward Central Division Kabale Municipality and each village received two piglets totaling 6 Piglets in Kigongi ward
Speaking to our reporter at Kigongi A cell, some of the beneficiaries of this project from Kigongi A, B and Nyakahita Cells applauded the legislature upon her tremendous efforts to improve the household.
Tumuramye William and Kyomukama Edith said that the donated piglets are going to provide manure and act as a source of school fees to school going children.
They added that due to this economic crisis some of them were unable to get money for medical costs and for subsistence.
Tumuramye further said that he has never seen a hard working MP like Ndamira who has been on ground donating hens, Pigs and goats among the electorate as one way of improving household income.
The councilor Lc3 representing Kigongi ward at central Division Mr Musinguzi William warned the beneficiaries against selling the Piglets
He also said that he had read news about the progress of the pig project in other sub counties and that kigongi shouldn’t fail the pig project of the legislature.
He called for more support from the legislature and other leaders saying that the economic crisis has greatly hit Kigongi ward.
Mr. Alex Akampurira who represented Hon Atwakiire Catherine Ndamira the Kabale District woman Mp said that Kigongi and Kijuguta wards were the only ones remaining in Kabale Municipality to receive the donations.
He added that the pigs are from the office of the legislature as one way of improving on household income and honoring the pledge she had pledged in the last elections.
He further warned the beneficiaries against being so greedy while rearing the piglets saying that few of the beneficiaries have sold the pigs
