In Ibanda—
The National Resistance Movement (NRM) flag bearer Hon. Tarsis Rwaburindoore has pledged to strengthen coffee factories in Ibanda municipality.
Rwaburindoore who is the incumbent MP for Ibanda Municipality said that this will revive coffee growing industry for farmers.
Rwaburindoore revealed this while addressing the residents of Kyereeta cell, Kyaruhanga 1 cell,Muginda cell, Kitwe cell, Jubilee street cell and others who met him at Kyaruhanga 1 cell on Friday 8th Jan. 2021.
“Many farmers in Ibanda district have lost interest in growing coffee because of little money given by the middlemen. I know coffee was the main income generating activity in the district which enabled farmers to educate their children who are now prominent officers in the country,” Rwaburindoore told his voters.
During the campaign meeting, the residents told him a number of challenges they are facing which they wanted to be redressed in the forthcoming parliament when elected Member of Parliament on 14th January 2021.
A total of 20 people who did not support Mr. Rwaburindoore during the National Resistance Movement elections because of disagreements here and there crossed and joined his team and pledged to vote for him on 14.1.2021.
The LC 1 chairperson, Kyereeta cell, Mr. Robert Mugisha hailed Rwaburindoore for supporting the people of Kyaruhanga village when the floods destroyed their houses, banana plantations, coffee trees and their gardens.
“A friend in need is a friend indeed,” Mugisha said.
