MWIZI H/C III IN-CHARGE ARRESTED AGAIN FOR STEALING COVID 19 RAPID TESTING KITS

Police in Rwampara district led by the Resident District Commissioner Emmy Katera Turyabagyenyi have arrested Fredrick Byanyima the Mwizi Health Center III in charge for Stealing three packets of COVID 19 Rapid testing kits.
Byanyima was arrested today as authorities in Rwampara district led by the area RDC carried out monitoring of 1300 Rapid testing kits that were received by Rampara district last week.
Speaking to media Rwampara district RDC Emmy Katera Turyabagyenyi confirmed the arrest of Byanyima adding that he will be charged with Theft and forgery.
According to Katera Rwampara received 1300 Rapid testing kits; Kinoni health center 4 ,Ndeija health center 3 shared 650 kits while Bugamba health center 2 and Mwizi Health Center 3 shared the remaining 650.
The RDC intimated to www.mknewslink.com that today as they monitored Mwizi Health Center 3 they found out from the store keeper of the facility that he had given four packets to the laboratory staff remaining with three intact packets of Rapid testing kits.
Katera said that the three packets were nowhere to be seen only to find that they issued out on Friday last week in the absence of the store keeper by the health incharge of Mwizi Health Center 3 who allegedly opened the store and gave them to a One Charles Mugisha the district Health officer .
however, on interrogating Charles Mugisha disowned the signature which they claim received the said three kits ,and he said that he never moved even a close to Mwizi Health Center III to get the said kits.
this is the second time the incharge hasben arrested in connection to government property since this year started.
He was early this year implicated in the disappearance of Mattresses and beds from the same facility and authorities led by area RDC handed him to Police and investigations are in their advanced stages.
By press time Byanyima Fredrick was still detained at Nyihanga police station awaiting to be charged in court.
