NCHE’S PAMELA KALYEGIRA WARNS INSTITUTIONS AGAINST DUPLICATING COURSES

National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) has warned institutions of higher learning on duplication educations courses and change course units into independent programs.
Dr. Pamela Tibihikira Kalyegyira the director Quality Assurance and Accreditation at NCHE said that due to increasing number of institutions of higher learning, they have taken the advantage to create illegal learning courses by turning course units into independent courses.
Pamela was speaking on Wednesday 20th June 2018 during the stakeholders’ sensitization workshop on the Uganda Higher Education qualification Framework held at University of St. Josephs Nyamitanga in Mbarara municipality.
She added that as NCHE they will engage all the stakeholders and audit the institutions before any action is taken against them.
Arthur Babu Mugizi the director of Finance at NCHE said that the higher education qualification framework is meant to help all the scholars so that when they leave institutions they can compete for the job market across the whole world.
