The South Western Uganda National Environmental Management Authority (NEMA) focal person has warned Ugandans on heavy rains
Joconious Musingwire sounded the warning today 05th. Feb. 2020 in an exclusive interview with www.mknewslink.com reporter in his office at Boma, Mbarara municipality
Following the dry spell that has been formerly experienced ever since this year began, Musingwire has commended farmers to go on with planting since heavy rains are to be received from March this year to May
Musigwire cautioned that people living in the low lying areas should take note that those areas will experience heavy floods thus they should make terraces and mulch their land if possible .
Musingwire also warned people who encroach gazzated areas like river banks and swamps that they have already teamed up with the security team to ensure enforcement and remove those that are there illegally.
