NEVER LET MY POLITICAL LEGACY DIE WITH ME—ARNOLD SPENCER ECHOES HIS FATHER’S LAST WORDS TO HIM

The aspiring Member of Parliament for Bushenyi Ishaka municipality who is also son to the minister for lands Arnold Spencer Turwomwe has revealed that before his father died, he told him that his political ambitions should not die with him.
He said this yesterday at Premier hotel in Bushenyi during a press briefing to interact with few members of the media from Bushenyi district.
He noted that his father Spencer who contested for Igara East parliamentary seat for three times told the son Arnold before he died at Mulago hospital that his political legacy should not die with him.
Arnold noted that he contested for parliamentary seat in Igara East as an independent and was overwhelmingly welcomed by the constituents because they were happy to see the son of Spencer come back to contest after the father’s death.
He said he has come to contest for Bushenyi Ishaka municipality parliamentary seat because his parish of Ntungamo was annext to the municipality.
Arnold Spencer Turwomwe noted that he converted to his camp 16 coordinators who were coordinators of former candidates in 2016 elections.
Arnold Spencer 28 years a graduate from Victoria University in Malaysia told the press conference that he is committed to ensuring that all the people in the municipality get out of poverty by bringing projects that eradicate poverty from Bushenyi Ishaka Municipality.
He said that he has already done some projects in the municipality citing out hoes, maize seeds and balls to the youths.
He revealed that he has done consultative meetings at parish level and he will move to the village level in this February to critically understand the real problems faced by residents of the municipality.
