NEW VISION’S RWAMBUKA ELECTED NTUNGAMO MDF MEDIA REPRESENTATIVE

The Ntungamo district New Vision Chief Correspondent Rwambuka Mugisha aka MC Rwambs’ has been elected unopposed as Media Representative for Ntungamo municipal development forum (MDF).
The Ntungamo Municipal Principal Community development Officer and MDF Coordinator Vincent Mpora presided over the elections and declared Rwambuka Mugisha as winner following the resolution by the majority of Journalists and Media Practitioners who fronted him as their suitable candidate to represent them for the next 3 year’s second term of office, because of his capability and potentiality!
This was on 22nd June 2022 at Ntungamo Municipal council grounds.
Other sectors that elected their representatives include; Non Governmental Organization (NGOS) to be represented by Isaac Muzoora- Kontabule, Boda bodas group to be represented by Alex Kasajja and Patience Natukunda was elected to represent People with disabilities (PWDs).
Ntungamo Municipality MDF Coordinator Mpora Vincent said that other sectors/ stakeholders are going to choose their representatives on 28/6/2022 and the exercise is to end on 30th June 2022.
He further explained that after the elections of all 25 stakeholders in Ntungamo Municipality there will be a training which will be conducted by officials from the ministry of lands, housing and urban development led by the MDF national coordinator Stephen Bogere who will also preside over the election of the Ntungamo MDF core executive.
After the elections, the elected MDF Media Representative Rwambuka Mugisha hosted his fellow Journalists at victory party which was held at Ntungamo’s Ariho Hotel where eats and drinks were served in plenty and speeches uttered by some campaign agents!
The Daily monitor’s Ntungamo correspondent Perez Rumanzi thanked his fellow Journalists for accepting and elected Rwambs’ with overwhelming support to enable him serve his second and last term of office as their MDF media representative- at Ntungamo Municipal council.
Elliot Kabangira Magande the Station Manager Radio Ankole thanked the Ntungamo media fraternity for showing a unity spirit and agreed to support and elect unopposed Rwambuka Mugisha the senior Journalist working with the Vision Group and urged them to keep that good working relationship!
Bethel FM-Radio Station Manager Van-degrass Dede Nshutaminabo promised to keep that team work spirit that started with other different media houses operating in Ntungamo district.
