The old students of Nganwa high school vowed to surrender whatever they have to their school up to when its past lost glory is found.
This was during the annual re- union of all old students under their association NGANWA OLD STUDENTS ASSOCIATION which took place on 28th July 2018 at school premises.
In past years, Nganwa high school has been one of the best 10 performing schools around the country but due to some challenges, it started declining slowly by slowly up to when the OB’s stood up in 2006 to form an association in order rebuild the school up to the highest standard which they have done so far.
The new elected chairman of the association major Joram Kamugisha kembo told www.mknewslink.com that Nganwa had declined totally indirectly but due to the OB’s association it is now back on the map.
He noted that most schools especially the big ones perform well because of the support of their OB’s and OG’S.
The headteacher of the school Mr Abel Rushegyera Tumuramye thanked old students saying that they have inspired students to think big and know that they can also be important people. He added thatNganwa by end of this year will be at the top as it used to be.
“This association helps us dearly and as I talk now we don’t need to construct another building because what we have are enough. The only problem of this school was enrollment which is no longer a challenge,” head teacher noted.
However he added that there are still some small challenges that affect the school and asked OB’s to solve them which all OB’s agreed and promised to solve them within a month.
He revealed that during the 2016 re-union, some old students pledged scholarships but they never honored them yet students were admitted which he said has left the school with additional challenges.
