IN FORT PORTAL—
Vendors in Kabundire farmers market in fort portal municipality are at a very high risk of contracting cholera and other diseases because of unhygienic living and working conditions.
It’s alleged that the whole market has only one latrine that is used by a variety of people which they say that this would result to out break of cholera and other diseases that are related to lack of clean environment.
Market vendors reveal that they have not even got any response from the concerned authorities regarding to the above issue that has always been raised.
Mr.Lubega Innocent one of the market vendors described this as negligence of duty which has retarded the business development in Kabarole.
The lCIII chairperson for west division fort portal municipality Mr. Richard Muhumuza says the plans in final stages to construct very many latrines in the area noting that this will help in solving such problems.
