Business tycoon James Musinguzi Garuga has rubbished allegations that he bought Rugyeyo community hospital land saying that he own more land across the country so there would be no need for him to grab public land.
Garuga also pledged to continue engaging in development ventures in kanungu district despite challenges because this is his home district.
Referring to effective land occupancy statistics for Kanungu district that currently stand at 28%, he revealed that Kanungu district still has a lot of land for development.
He was on Tuesday speaking as the chief guest at the swearing in ceremony of the new board of governors at Rugyeyo community hospital, a function held at the hospital grounds.
Presiding over the swearing in, the Kanungu grade one magistrate Andrew Katurubuki urged the board to always convene timely meetings and ensure they do not contravene the law.
The Kanungu chief administrative officer Eriab Ntarwete expressed pleasure for the success of the hospital.
Kanungu district chairperson Canon Josephine Kasya advised her fellow leaders to avoid spreading wrong and destructive information about development ventures saying these do not know our differences.
